We’re proud to announce that on Tuesday, July 15, Archistar’s AI-powered eCheck platform launched for beta testing in the City and County of Los Angeles.
Unveiled by Governor Newsom, this initiative is being delivered in partnership with the County and City of LA and philanthropic partners to support wildfire recovery efforts and tackle one of the most frustrating barriers to rebuilding: slow, manual permit approvals.
Why eCheck Matters
Every day, families across Los Angeles are ready to rebuild after devastating wildfires, but their efforts are delayed by time-consuming permit processes. Traditional compliance reviews can take weeks or even months, stalling urgent projects when they’re needed most.
eCheck was built to change that.
By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning, eCheck can instantly pre-check building plans for code compliance – before they’re submitted to the city. This means:
- Faster approvals
- Fewer resubmissions
- A clearer, more transparent path to rebuilding
Join the Beta: Who Can Apply
If your single-family home was impacted by the Eaton Fire or the Palisades Fire and is located in a single-family (R-1) residential zone in the unincorporated Altadena or Sunset Mesa communities, or (R-1 or RE) residential zone in the Palisades, you are invited to join as an Early Adopter.
By participating, you’re helping train the AI model and validate the results.
During the initial testing phase, results may take up to 10 business days as we gather real-world feedback and refine the system, but may be delivered faster.
How to Get Started

A Message from Our Founder
“This isn’t just another tech launch; it’s a meaningful way to support LA’s wildfire rebuild. Many families are still waiting for their permit approvals. eCheck was built to fast-track permits by using AI to pre-check building plans for code compliance and streamline the process.
The Beta launch is a critical step toward rebuilding faster, smarter, and more transparently, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.”
— Dr. Benjamin Coorey, Founder & CEO, Archistar
What’s Next
This beta launch marks a significant step in our mission to revolutionise urban planning through technology. With your help, we can demonstrate the real-world value of AI in rebuilding efforts and scale eCheck to support more communities in need.
